Pangea Academy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Donations are tax-deductible and fund scholarships, our affordable housing work, and humanitarian and disaster-relief building.
Where it is needed most
Scholarship fund
Covers full tuition for students who could not otherwise enroll - people rebuilding after disaster, tradespeople retraining, and communities trying to build their own way out of a housing shortage. Spent on tuition, not overhead.

Supports the predevelopment work that makes deed-restricted homes possible - entitlement, design, soils and the legal framework. It is the hardest money to raise because it is spent before there is anything to show.

What your gift does
Fourteen courses, 274 lessons, 1,733 assessed questions, and a certificate for each one completed. The curriculum is open to everyone today and moves to a $25 subscription soon - but the foundation course stays free permanently, and the scholarship fund covers the subscription for anyone it would otherwise keep out. Your gift is what makes both of those possible.
We are a small organization and gifts here go a long way, because almost all of the cost is writing a course once and then giving it away for as long as it is true.
Larger gifts move differently. Predevelopment on a deed-restricted project, packaging our methods so another rural non-profit can run them, and cohort training for a partner organization are all things that turn one building into many.
Why give to a non-profit that publishes its methods
Because that is the multiplier. We are not protecting a license or a product. Everything the Academy learns goes into a curriculum that anyone can take, including people who will go on to compete with us. One builder puts up dozens of homes a year. A trained workforce puts up thousands.

For anything the buttons above do not cover - a grant, a donor-advised fund, stock, materials and tools, a bequest, or a finance office that needs our paperwork before it can release anything.
