The short answer is no you will not be able to build your own sustainable, off-grid structure once you finish your first Academy Field Session. However, much depends on your skill level when arriving at the Academy. There are many components that go into the construction of a sustainable, off-grid structure including water, electricity, heating & cooling, food, permits, etc. You will learn the basics of all of these in our online courses and various types of field sessions, but you will likely need to go through at least three full builds before you are ready to run and build your own project. Additionally, if you want to build right away, then you can always hire professionals for many aspects of the construction process of your own structure.
